There are two ways to add a Facebook pixel to your Shopify store. The first is by adding the code directly to your theme, and the second is by using a Shopify app.

If you’re comfortable with code, adding the pixel code directly to your theme is the best option. This way, you can be sure that the code will always be placed in the correct location on your pages.

To add the code to your theme, log in to your Shopify admin and go to Online Store > Themes. Find the theme you want to edit, and then click Actions > Edit code.

In the Layout folder, open the theme.liquid file. Scroll down to the section of the code and paste your pixel code just before the tag. Save your changes and preview your site to check that the code is working correctly.

PRO TIP: If you are unsure about where to put the pixel code in Shopify, it is best to consult with a professional. Putting the code in the wrong place can result in tracking issues and errors.

If you’re not comfortable with code, or if you want an easier way to add a Facebook pixel to your store, there are some great Shopify apps available. These apps will handle all of the technical details for you, so you can focus on running your business.

One of our favourites is Pixel Caffeine by Beeketing. This app makes it easy to create custom audiences and track conversions, so you can get the most out of your Facebook ads.

To install an app, log in to your Shopify admin and go to Apps. Click on the Visit Shopify App Store button and search for “Facebook pixel”. Install the app that’s right for you and follow the instructions to set it up.

Adding a Facebook pixel to your Shopify store is a great way to collect data about your customers and their behaviour on your site. By understanding this data, you can create Targeted Facebook ads that will lead to more sales for your business.
