Where Is Halftone Pattern in Photoshop CC?

Halftone pattern is a printing effect that combines dots to create a deliberate screen-like image. This printing technique is often used to give extra texture and dimension to an image. Halftone patterns can be created in Photoshop using the Halftone Pattern filter.

To create a halftone pattern, open an image in Photoshop and go to Filter > Pixelate > Halftone Pattern. In the Halftone Pattern dialog box, set the Frequency to 10 and the Angle to 45. Then click OK.

PRO TIP: When searching for the halftone pattern in Photoshop CC, be aware that it is no longer under the “pattern” drop-down menu. Instead, it is now located under the “filter” drop-down menu.

Your image will now have a halftone pattern applied to it. To adjust the amount of pattern, go to Edit > Fade Halftone Pattern. In the Fade dialog box, set the Opacity to 50% and click OK.

You can also use different values for the Frequency and Angle options in the Halftone Pattern dialog box to create different effects. Experiment with different settings until you find a look that you like.
