Where Is My WooCommerce API Key?

Last updated on October 1, 2022 @ 7:05 pm

If you’re new to WooCommerce, you may be wondering where to find your API key. API keys are used to authenticate with WooCommerce and allow third-party applications to access your store data. In this article, we’ll show you how to find your WooCommerce API key.

To find your WooCommerce API key, log into your WooCommerce account and go to Settings > Advanced > REST API. On the REST API page, you’ll find a section called Keys/Apps.

Here, you’ll be able to create or view existing keys. To create a new key, click the Add Key button.

On the next screen, you’ll need to enter a description for your key and select the level of access that you want to grant it. Once you’ve done that, click the Generate API Key button.

You’ll then see a pop-up with your new API key and a link to the documentation. Be sure to copy your API key somewhere safe as you’ll need it later.

PRO TIP: If you are having trouble finding your WooCommerce API key, this may be because you are using an older version of WooCommerce. To find your API key in WooCommerce 2.6 or newer, go to WooCommerce > Settings > Advanced > REST API.

And that’s it! You’ve now generated a WooCommerce API key and can start using it with third-party applications.
