Where Is Roles and Permissions on Wix?

Roles and permissions on Wix are located in the “Site Members” section of the Wix Editor. Here, you can manage who has access to your site, and what they can do. To change a user’s role or permissions, simply click on their name and make the desired changes.

As the owner of a Wix site, you have full control over who can access your site, and what they can do. The “Site Members” section of the Wix Editor is where you manage all of this. Here, you can add new users, change existing users’ roles and permissions, and delete users who no longer need access.

Adding a new user is simple: just enter their email address and choose their role. You can also add a short message that will be sent to them along with their invitation. Once they accept the invitation, they’ll be added to your site as a member.

There are three different user roles on Wix:

Administrators have full control over the site. They can add, edit, and delete any content, as well as manage other users.

Editors can add, edit, and delete most types of content, but they cannot manage other users or change site settings.

Viewers can only view content – they cannot make any changes.

You can change a user’s role at any time by clicking on their name in the “Site Members” section and choosing a new role from the drop-down menu. You can also change their permissions to fine-tune what they’re able to do on your site. For example, you may want to allow Editors to delete pages, but not blog posts.

If a user is no longer needing access to your site, you can delete them at any time by clicking on their name and then clicking the “Delete” button. Doing this will immediately remove them from your site as a member.
