Where Is Site Verification on Wix?

Last updated on October 1, 2022 @ 1:03 am

Site verification is the process of proving that a website is the legitimate owner of a domain. This is done by adding a DNS record or HTML file to the website’s root directory.

Once verified, the site can then be used to host content or serve as a redirect for other websites. There are a few different ways to verify a site on Wix, but the most common is through the use of Google Search Console.

GREAT NEWS:

Exciting update! We've collaborated with Wix to offer WBI users with a free plan for all website creation needs - Explore the details here.

In order to verify your site on Wix using Google Search Console, you will need to first add your site to your Google Account. Once you have done this, you will be able to access the Google Search Console and select the “Add Property” button.

From here, you will be able to enter your website’s URL and select the “Verify” button. After you have verified your site, you will be able to see your site’s data in the Google Search Console.

PRO TIP: If you are looking for the site verification option on Wix, it is no longer available. Site verification was a feature that allowed you to verify your site with Google and other search engines. This feature is no longer available on Wix.

If you are not able to verify your site using Google Search Console, you can also try using Wix’s Site Verification Tool. This tool will allow you to verify your site by adding a DNS record or HTML file to your website’s root directory.

Once you have added the DNS record or HTML file, you will then be able to select the “Verify” button and see your site’s data in the Wix Site Verifier tool.

While there are a few different ways to verify a website on Wix, the most common method is through Google Search Console. By adding your site to your Google Account and selecting the “Verify” button, you will be able to see your site’s data in the Google Search Console. If you are not able to verify your site using Google Search Console, you can also try using Wix’s Site Verification Tool.
