Dodge and burn is a technique that has been used by photographers for many years to lighten or darken areas of an image. The Dodge and Burn tools in Photoshop are very powerful and can be used to create some amazing effects.

The Dodge and Burn tools can be found in the toolbar at the top of the screen. There are two icons, one for dodge and one for burn. To use either of these tools, simply select the area you want to affect and then click on the appropriate icon.

The Dodge tool will lighten an area, while the Burn tool will darken it. You can also adjust the strength of the effect by clicking on the icon and then dragging to the left or right.

If you want to create a more subtle effect, you can hold down the Alt key (Option on a Mac) while using either of these tools. This will cause the effect to be applied more slowly, which can be helpful when you’re trying to avoid creating too much of a contrast.

There are many different ways that you can use these two tools, so experiment and see what kinds of effects you can create!
