Where Is the Paint Tool in Photoshop?

Although Photoshop is primarily known as an image editing program, it also has some basic photo manipulation features. One of these is the ability to add text to an image. In order to do this, you will need to use the Paint Tool.

The Paint Tool can be found in the Tools palette, which is located on the left side of the Photoshop workspace. It is the second tool from the top. The shortcut for the Paint Tool is letter P on your keyboard.

PRO TIP: The paint tool in Photoshop can be found in the “Tools” palette. It is the second tool from the left. However, it is important to note that the paint tool is only available in Photoshop CS6 and earlier.

Once you have selected the Paint Tool, you can then click on the area of the image where you want to add your text. A text box will appear and you can type in your text. You can also change the font, size and color of your text using the options at the top of the screen.

Once you are happy with your text, you can click on the checkmark icon to confirm it or click on the cross icon to cancel it.
