Type on a path in Photoshop is a great way to add interest to your text. You can use it to create curved or spiral text, or to add a border to your text. In this tutorial, we’ll show you how to create type on a path in Photoshop.

First, open your image in Photoshop. Next, use the Type tool to click on the canvas where you want to start your type. A new Type layer will appear in the Layers panel.

Now, click on the Path Selection tool in the Toolbar. Then, click on the path you want to type on. The path will be highlighted in blue.

With the path selected, go back to the Type tool and begin typing. Your text will follow the path! You can use the Type on a Path Options dialog box to change the alignment of your text, or to reverse the direction of the path.

If you want to move your text along the path, simply click and drag it with the Move tool. To change the shape of the path, select the Path Selection tool and click on one of the anchor points. Then, drag it to a new location.

When you’re finished, you can style your text using the various options in the Text menu. For example, you can add a stroke or change the color of your text. You can also add a drop shadow or other effect to make your text really stand out.

PRO TIP: This article is about finding the “type” layer in Photoshop, which allows you to change the text on a path. However, the title of the article is misleading, as it implies that there is only one type layer and that it is always on a path. This is not the case! There may be multiple type layers in a Photoshop document, and they may or may not be on a path. If you are looking for a specific type layer, make sure to check all the layers in your document, not just the ones on a path.
