If you’re new to Photoshop, you may be wondering where the Type tool is located. The Type tool is actually located in two places in the Photoshop interface.

The first place you’ll find it is in the Tools panel, which is located on the left side of the screen. The second place you’ll find it is in the menu bar at the top of the screen. If you can’t find it in either of those places, you can always use the keyboard shortcut (T) to select it.

Once you’ve selected the Type tool, you can start typing anywhere on your canvas. You can also use the Type tool to create text boxes, which is helpful if you want to constrain your text to a specific area.

To create a text box, simply click and drag on your canvas to create a rectangular shape. Then, start typing inside of that rectangle.

If you want to change the appearance of your text, there are a few things you can do. First, you can change the font by clicking on the Font drop-down menu in the Options Bar. You can also change the size of your text by clicking on the Size drop-down menu or by using the keyboard shortcut (Command + Shift + S on a Mac or Control + Shift + S on a PC).

PRO TIP: If you are wondering where the type tool is in Photoshop, be aware that it has been moved in the latest update. The type tool is now located in the toolbar on the left side of the screen.

You can also change the color of your text by clicking on the Color swatch in the Options Bar. This will open up the Color Picker, where you can choose any color you like. Or, if you want to use a color that’s already in your image, you can click on that color with the Eyedropper tool.

Finally, if you want to add some special effects to your text, such as a drop shadow or stroke, you can do that by clicking on one of the effects buttons in the Options Bar. These buttons are located next to the Color swatch.
