Where Is Wix DNS?

Last updated on September 30, 2022 @ 10:52 pm

Wix is a platform that allows users to create websites without any programming knowledge. It is a drag-and-drop website builder with everything you need to create a website, including web hosting, domain names, and email services.

GREAT NEWS:

Exciting update! We've collaborated with Wix to offer WBI users with a free plan for all website creation needs - Explore the details here.

One of the great things about Wix is that you can use your own domain name with their platform. In order to do this, you need to change your DNS (Domain Name System) settings.

So where is Wix DNS? When you create a Wix account and choose to use your own domain name, Wix will give you specific DNS settings to use.

You will need to login to your domain name registrar (where you purchased your domain name) and update the DNS settings for your domain name. Once you have updated the DNS settings, it can take up to 48 hours for the changes to propagate throughout the internet.

PRO TIP: If you are using Wix as your DNS provider, be aware that there have been reports of widespread outages. It is recommended that you have a backup DNS provider in place in case of an outage.

If you need help changing your DNS settings, Wix has a great support article with instructions specific to popular domain name registrars: https://support.com/en/article/changing-dns-settings-to-point-to-wix.

Conclusion:
In order to use your own domain name with Wix, you need to change your DNS settings to the ones provided by Wix. You can find instructions on how to do this for popular domain name registrars on their support page.
