There are many reasons why you might want a sidebar on your Squarespace website. Maybe you want to showcase upcoming events, display a list of recent blog posts, or show off some of your best work.
Whatever the reason, Squarespace makes it easy to add a sidebar to any template.
In this article, we’ll take a look at which Squarespace templates have a sidebar and how to add one if your template doesn’t have one by default.
Which Squarespace templates have a sidebar?
Not all Squarespace templates come with a sidebar by default, but it’s easy to add one if you’re using the Avenue, Bedford, Brine, Farro, Hayden, Horizon, Naia, Om, Pacific, Skye or Tudor template.
To add a sidebar to one of these templates:
- Log into your Squarespace account and go to the Settings panel for the relevant page.
- Click the Advanced tab and scroll down to the “Page Layout” section.
- Select “Sidebar” from the dropdown menu.
- (optional): If you want the sidebar to appear on every page of your site, check the “Apply this layout to all pages” box.
How to add a sidebar to any other Squarespace template
If you’re using a different template, you can still add a sidebar by following these steps:
- Log into your Squarespace account and go to the “Settings”. panel for the relevant page.
