Why Can’ti See Grid in Figma?

Last updated on September 28, 2022 @ 10:07 pm

Have you ever wondered why you can’t see the grid in Figma? It’s a common question we get asked, and there are a few reasons for it.

First of all, the grid is only visible when you are zoomed in to at least 50%. This is because the grid is made up of very fine lines, and at lower zoom levels they are simply too small to see.

If you’re zoomed in closer than 50%, you should be able to see the gridlines.

Another reason you might not be able to see the grid is because it’s hidden behind other objects in your design. To bring the grid to the front, simply select the “View” menu at the top of the screen and choose “Show Grid.”

PRO TIP: If you are having trouble seeing the grid in Figma, it may be because the grid is not turned on. To turn on the grid, go to File > Preferences > General and turn on the Show Grid option.

Finally, it’s also possible that your Figma file doesn’t have a grid enabled. To check this, select the “File” menu and choose “Preferences.” Under the “General” tab, make sure the “Show Grid” option is enabled.
