Why Do Squarespace Emails Go to Spam?

Last updated on October 1, 2022 @ 4:01 am

When you set up your Squarespace account, you’re asked to provide an email address. This is the email address we use to communicate with you about your account. It’s also the email address we use if you forget your password or need to reset your password.

If you’re not receiving our emails, there are a few possible reasons:

  • Your email service provider is filtering our emails as spam
  • You have a typo in your email address
  • Your inbox is full and can’t receive new messages
  • You’ve unsubscribed from our emails

If your email service provider is filtering our emails as spam:

To fix this, you’ll need to add noreply@Squarespace.com to your address book or whitelist. This will ensure that you receive future Squarespace emails.

If you have a typo in your email address:

If you think you may have entered your email address incorrectly when you created your account, please contact us. We can update your account with the correct email address.

PRO TIP: If you are using Squarespace to send emails, be aware that some email providers may mark these emails as spam. This is because Squarespace uses a shared IP address for all customers, and if one customer’s emails are marked as spam, it can affect the deliverability of emails for other customers on the same IP address. To avoid this, you can use a third-party email service such as SendGrid or Mailgun.

If your inbox is full and can’t receive new messages:

You’ll need to clear some space in your inbox.

Once there’s enough room for new messages, we’ll resend any Squarespace emails that were returned to us.

If you’ve unsubscribed from our emails:

You can resubscribe here. Once you enter your email address, we’ll send a confirmation message. Just click the link in that message to start receiving Squarespace emails again.
