Why I Cannot Submit a Proposal on UpWork?

Last updated on September 29, 2022 @ 10:29 pm

As a freelancer, I am always on the lookout for new opportunities to showcase my skills and grow my client base. UpWork is a great platform that connects freelancers with clients who have specific project needs.

However, there are a few reasons why I cannot submit a proposal on UpWork.

First and foremost, I am not a fan of the bidding process on UpWork. I would much rather work with clients who are willing to pay a fair rate for my services, without having to compete with other freelancers for the work.

Additionally, I find that the quality of leads on UpWork is often not as high as I would like.

PRO TIP: If you are not sure about something, please ask a moderator or ask in the forums before submitting a proposal. Once you have submitted a proposal, it cannot be edited or removed.

I also take issue with the fact that UpWork charges freelancers a fee to submit proposals. In my opinion, this is an unnecessary expense that takes away from already slim profit margins.

Furthermore, I believe that this fee gives an unfair advantage to those freelancers who are willing and able to pay it.

Overall, I cannot submit a proposal on UpWork because I am not a fan of the bidding process, the quality of leads is often poor, and there is an unfair fee charged to freelancers.
