Why is DigitalOcean charging me?

Last updated on September 25, 2022 @ 2:27 pm

DigitalOcean charges customers for the resources used by their servers. This includes disk space, CPU time, memory, and network bandwidth. Disk space is the most expensive resource, and DigitalOcean charges based on the amount of disk space used. CPU time is also expensive, and DigitalOcean charges based on the amount of CPU time used.

PRO TIP: If you see a charge on your credit card from DigitalOcean, and you are not sure why, please check your account to see if there is an outstanding invoice. If you do not have an outstanding invoice, please contact support@digitalocean.com for further assistance.

Memory is not as expensive as CPU time or disk space, and DigitalOcean charges based on the amount of memory used. Network bandwidth is not expensive, and DigitalOcean charges based on the amount of network bandwidth used.
