And until recently, it was available as an integration on Shopify. But that’s no longer the case. So, what happened?

In the past, Shopify users could integrate their Shopify store with Mailchimp to take advantage of Mailchimp’s powerful email marketing features. This was a popular integration because it allowed Shopify users to easily send out email campaigns to their customers without having to leave their Shopify admin.
However, that changed recently when Mailchimp announced that it would no longer be supporting the Shopify integration. This came as a surprise to manyShopify users who were using the integration.

What Happened Between Mailchimp and Shopify?
The relationship between Mailchimp and Shopify started to sour whenShopify began promoting its own email marketing platform,Shopify Email. This was seen as a direct competitor to Mailchimp.
In response, Mailchimp began charging higher rates for users who were also usingShopify Email. This led to manyShopify users switching from Mailchimpto other email marketing platforms.
The final straw came whenMailchimpsent out an email to its users informing them that it would no longer be supporting the integration withShopify. This meant thatShopify users would no longer be able to useMailchimpto send emails from theirShopify stores.
Why Is Mailchimp No Longer on Shopify?
The simple answer is that Mailchimp and Shopfiy had a disagreement which led to Maichimp no longer being available as in integrated app on the Shopfiy platform.
Shopfiy has since developed it’s own email marketing application called ‘Shopfiy Email’ which competes directly with Maichmp’s core business.
In response to this move byshopfiy, Maichmp began charging higher rates for those using both applications and eventually stopped supporting the integation all together.
