Why Is My Image Blurry in Photoshop?

Last updated on April 14, 2023 @ 5:03 am

There are a few reasons why your image might be blurry in Photoshop. It could be that your image is low resolution, or it could be that you’re not using the correct interpolation method.

PRO TIP: If you are having trouble with blurry images in Photoshop, it is likely that your image is not properly sized for the document you are working on. To fix this, go to Image Size under the Image menu and make sure that your image is set to the correct resolution for your document.

If your image is low resolution, the first thing you should do is try to increase the resolution. You can do this by going to Image > Image Size and increasing the width and height of your image, or simply the overall resolution.

If your image is still blurry, it’s likely because you’re not using the correct interpolation method. To fix this, go to Edit > Preferences > General and make sure that the default Image Interpolation Method is set to Bicubic Sharper. Once you’ve done this, your image should be less blurry.
