Why Is My Wix Button Not Working?

Last updated on October 1, 2022 @ 8:50 am

If you’ve been working on a Wix site and suddenly find that your button elements are no longer working, don’t panic! There are a few potential causes for this, and we’ll go over them one by one.

GREAT NEWS:

Exciting update! We've collaborated with Wix to offer WBI users with a free plan for all website creation needs - Explore the details here.

1. The most common reason is that the link associated with the button is no longer valid. This can happen if you change the page that the button links to, or if you delete the page entirely. To fix this, simply edit the button element and update the link.

2.

Another possibility is that there’s a problem with the code of the button itself. If you’re using a custom HTML button, make sure that the code is correct and that all opening and closing tags are in place. If you’re using a Wix button, go to the Buttons & Actions section of the Wix Editor and check that all of the settings are correct.

3. Finally, it’s possible that your button is being hidden by another element on the page. This can happen if you accidentally place another element on top of the button, or if you change the position of an element in such a way that it covers up the button. To fix this, simply move the element that’s blocking the button.

If your Wix Button still isn’t working after trying these steps, reach out to Wix support for further assistance.
