Why Is Wix Taking Money Out of My Account?

Last updated on October 1, 2022 @ 6:38 am

If you’re a Wix user, you may have noticed that the platform has been taking money out of your account without your permission. This has been happening to a lot of users, and it’s not clear why Wix is doing this.

GREAT NEWS:

Exciting update! We've collaborated with Wix to offer WBI users with a free plan for all website creation needs - Explore the details here.

PRO TIP: If you see a charge from Wix on your bank statement and you don’t know why, there are a few things you can do to figure it out.

First, log in to your Wix account and check your billing history. This will show you all of the charges that have been made to your account, including any recurring charges.

If you don’t see the charge in your billing history, it’s possible that it was made by someone else who has access to your account. If this is the case, we recommend changing your password and taking other security measures to protect your account.

If you’re still not sure why you were charged, or if you have any other questions about your account, please contact our support team for help.

One theory is that Wix is trying to force users to upgrade to a paid plan. This would make sense, as Wix recently introduced a new paid plan that offers more features than the free plan. However, many users are reporting that they are being charged even though they haven’t upgraded their plan.

Another theory is that Wix is accidentally charging users for services that they haven’t used. This would explain why some users are being charged even though they haven’t upgraded their plan. However, it’s not clear why Wix would make this mistake.

Whatever the reason, it’s clear that Wix is taking money out of users’ accounts without their permission. If you’re a Wix user, you should check your account to see if you’ve been charged without your permission. If you have, you should contact Wix and demand a refund.
